Dr. Cedric Lewis is a part of a local tradition of dental comfort and care. He is a 1996 graduate of the Oregon Health Sciences University, where he received his doctorate in dental medicine. He has dedicated his professional career to providing you with the best that dentistry has to offer. Dr. Lewis is continually educating himself and his staff on the newest techniques and approaches to offer you and your family advance, comfortable, state-of-the-art and personalized dental care. In his continuing education, he has completed courses in esthetics and implants, anesthesia and pain control, cosmetic dentistry, and the diagnosis and treatment of TMJ (i.e. jaw pain) disorders.
Dr. Lewis is a member of the American Dental Association, Academy of General Dentistry, Hawaii Dental Association, and the Oregon Dental Association. He is a charter member of the prestigious Hawaii Terry Tanaka Dental Study Group for prosthodontics. Dr. Lewis is also a volunteer dentist for the Special Olympics Hawaii and the Kokua Kalihi Valley Comprehensive Family Services, a health center where he started a dental mentorship program for disadvantaged kids. Dr. Lewis is one of 12 dentists in the country, and the only one from Hawaii, chosen by the American Dental Association Institute for Diversity in Leadership.
In 2008 through 2012, Dr. Lewis was voted by his peers as one of Hawaii's Best Dentists in Hawaii in Honolulu Magazine.
In his spare time, Dr. Lewis enjoys spending time with his wife, Kristin, his son, Cole, and his two Pomeranians, Pooh Bear and Snoopy.
Dr. Kevin Leong joined the Wai'alae Dental Care family in 2010. He was born and raised in Kaneohe, Hawaii, and is a high school graduate of Hawaii Baptist Academy. He attended Creighton University in Omaha, Nebraska, where he received both his Bachelor of Sciences degree and Doctorate degree.
Since returning home to Hawaii, Dr. Leong has provided excellent dental care in both Hilo and Kalihi before joining the Wai?alae Dental Care family. Dr. Leong is known for his affable personality and his ability to focus on our patients' needs. He is a member of American Dental Association, Hawaii Dental Association, and prestigious Hawaii Graduate Study Forum. In 2010 through 2012, Dr. Leong was voted by his peers as one of Hawaii's Best Dentists in Hawaii in Honolulu Magazine. Dr. Leong enjoys surfing, is an avid sports fan, and loves spending time with his French bulldog, Ziggy.
Dr. Rezene Laurel joined the Wai'alae Dental Care family in 2010. She was born and raised in Wahiawa, Hawaii and is a high school graduate of ?Iolani School. She attended Creighton University in Omaha, Nebraska where she received both her Bachelor of Sciences degree and Doctorate degree.
Prior to joining Wai'alae Dental Care, Dr. Laurel practiced dentistry in Spokane, Washington for two years and then practiced in Kalihi for two years. Dr. Laurel is known for her kind nature and innate ability to provide the gentle care our patients have come to expect from our practice. She is a member of the American Dental Association, Hawaii Dental Association, and the prestigious study group, Hawaii Graduate Dental Forum. In 2010 through 2012, Dr. Laurel was voted by her peers as one of Hawaii's Best Dentists in Hawaii in Honolulu Magazine. Dr. Laurel enjoys hiking, dancing, baking cupcakes, and most of all, spending time with her husband, Kyle, daughter, Stella, son, Max, and Norwich terrier.
